We are excited to announce an internal opportunity for a Mental Health Care Champion. This role is designed to enhance the support available to our staff and customers, focusing on mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care to meet the individual needs of each customer.

• Respect each customer’s preferences and lifestyle choices in how care is delivered.

• Mentor and support new care assistants, especially during their probation period, ensuring they understand and apply Bluebird Care’s policies and procedures.

• Offer expert advice to staff and help them carry out their duties safely, guiding them when to seek help and report concerns.

• Participate in training and share insights to help colleagues further their knowledge and skills in mental health care.

• Be available to support staff outside your normal availability when required to meet urgent needs.

Skills & Qualities

• Patience, empathy, and excellent listening skills.

• A passion for supporting mental health and promoting well-being among colleagues and customers.

• The ability to nurture and motivate others while maintaining a calm and understanding approach.

• A commitment to continuous learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
