We are partnering on a confidential opportunity to appoint a Merchandise Planner within a growing, design-led Australian business operating across wholesale and retail channels.
This is not a purely executional role. This position sits at the centre of the commercial function, partnering closely with Account Managers, Design and senior leadership to drive planning performance and influence key business decisions.
With ownership across key accounts, this role will lead end-to-end merchandise planning, ensuring alignment across forecasting, inventory, product mix and promotional strategy to maximise sales, margin and stock efficiency.
You will operate as a true commercial partner, working cross-functionally and contributing to the broader growth trajectory of the business. This role is suited to a Planner who is confident in their ability to influence, take ownership and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise Planning & Trading
Own end-to-end OTB planning, forecasting and reforecasting across key accounts
Drive weekly trade reporting, identifying risks, opportunities and actionable insights
Ensure alignment to sales, margin, stock turn and inventory targets
Support both wholesale and retail planning to optimise overall performance
Inventory, Replenishment & Product Strategy
Manage replenishment and allocations aligned to demand, lead times and OTB
Oversee SKU lifecycle including new product launches and seasonal transitions
Optimise stock levels, transfers and rotations to maximise sell-through
Plan and execute promotional activity aligned to demand and margin targets
Commercial Performance & Analysis
Deliver clear, data-led insights to inform decision-making
Monitor and manage margin performance, including promotional and FX impacts
Support range planning through performance analysis and product mix optimisation
Contribute to quarterly and seasonal planning reviews
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner closely with Account Managers, Design, Warehouse and wider teams
Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Provide regular updates on performance, risks and opportunities
Support alignment across planning, product and operational execution
About You
You are a commercially driven Merchandise Planner who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys owning your category end-to-end.
You bring:
Proven experience in Merchandise Planning
Strong capability across OTB, forecasting, trade analysis and inventory management
Exposure to retail, wholesale or multi-channel environments
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
Confidence influencing stakeholders and working cross-functionally
High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
