Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator/Machinist to join our team in Christchurch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and controlling metalworking machines to shape and cut metal according to specifications and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and control metalworking machines, including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and CNC machines.
Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instruments.
Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of machines, and overhaul and repair mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
Assemble metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment.
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years' experience as a CNC Operator/Machinist.
Trade qualifications preferred, but scope and length of experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
Own tools and reliable transport.
At least 2 work references.
