The Role Responsibilities

Strategy
• Drive to improve Operational effectiveness of the team through brainstorming and project managing various initiatives that help in creating efficiencies and reduce risk.

Business
• Operational support for the Loans Agency business and various stakeholders in the Syndication businesses.

Processes
• Set up and maintenance of static data in Banks systems or linkages to deal build agreements.
• Deal Admin transaction specific support as part of lifecycle execution.
• Investigation of recon breaks and subsequent casing in TLM systems.
• Generation and circulation of Agency related MIS and reports.
• Team mailbox management and MIS around query management.
• Maker Checker adherence of controls part of processing.
• Invoice management.

Risk Management
• Keep Department Operating Instructions updated and ensure teams are working in line with DOIs.
• Understand and adhere to the LA Ops Risk Framework.
• Ensure adherence to all mandated checklists.

Regulatory and Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Lead the LA Ops team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: e.g. Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Preferably candidates having background in Banking, Finance, Commerce qualifications along with relevant around 3 years work experience.

Role Specific Technical Competencies
• Communication skills - ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise effectively
• Knowledge of the Loans Product and the role of the Agent
• Good attention to detail
• Excel skills
