The opportunity

Summary:

Manager-GSS is a key member of the leadership of Global Support Services (GSS) team and will be based out of India. As an integral part of this shared services unit, this person will lead the team towards building an exemplary community of practice in supporting sales and marketing units focusing on activities relating to research, content curation, proposals, analytics & reporting, operations etc with the mindset of service excellence, customer centricity and collaboration.

This person is accountable for managing capacity and utilizing the team’s capability to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with various stakeholders, consistently deliver high quality outputs that help in creating business impact across multiple market units within HBP. This is a key internal role supporting the sales and marketing teams across various HBP locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Sales Support and Marketing functions:

Supporting the global sales team by supervising and reviewing team’s pre-sales research on companies, industry, region etc. Supervise and review team’s work in preparing Proposals and Request for Proposals (RFPs) in support of sales team efforts to expand the client base Develop strong product knowledge to identify content relevant to select competencies Manage Sales and marketing operational support for different regions Collaborate across various market units within HBP and develop strong competencies which are beneficial across functional units

Operational Efficiency and stakeholder management

Develop strong process knowledge and improve processes to maximize efficiency Focus on day-to-day innovations and process automations Drive transformation and standardization across business processes and maintain relevant documentation Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with stakeholders and ensure that the team achieves SLAs consistently Establish strong communication and positive working relationships with stakeholders to manage expectations

Resource Management and leadership

Forecasting resource requirements, manage team capacity and handle work assignments accordingly Hire, develop, manage performance, and retain high quality talent Inspire and engage a team of individuals across multiple support functions by building their competencies Lead team through change– implementation of new project management standards, technology updates, and ongoing innovation to meet client needs Provide clear leadership to the Global Support team setting priorities, consulting with internal stakeholders to provide clarification as needed, and supporting the team with guidance and direction as may be required

Competencies Required:
• Proven capability and passion for team/people management and managing business processes
• Critical and strategic thinking, process oriented digital mindset and structured approach
• Experience in research and data analytics
• Data-driven decision-making and ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines with available resources
• Highly consultative approach to client and colleague engagement, to problem solve and innovate together
• Seeks simplicity in process and continually drives for quality and efficiency in how work gets done
• A team player: able to work across departments and teams and with all levels of an organization
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience facilitating, presenting and collaborating.
• Proficiency required with Microsoft Office products such as MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM preferred.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in managing and overseeing client projects; experience in KPOs or professional services firms including 3-5 years of managerial experience
• Background in psychology/organizational behavior is desirable

Above is the annualized pay range for this position. This position is also eligible to participate in HBP’s sales variable bonus plan. Actual salary will be set based upon a range of factors, including external benchmark market data, individual knowledge, skills, experience, location, and internal equity
