Role Responsibilities

This role in Operational Enablement Hive within CCIB T&I for the position of Release Management Lead. The position will be key to the strategic programs that are being worked upon as part of the Hive's development teams.
• Manage, coordinate, and oversee the various release phases as mandated by bank's System Delivery Framework.
• Responsible for implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test, and production environments
• Extensive experience in preparation of release calendar & plan, create a change request, System Delivery Framework controls includes collecting all evidences to get final review and change request approvals etc..
• Day to day management of change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
• Foster strong working & collaborative relationships with the business & technology stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate to stakeholders the release status, highlight risks, and propose issue resolution
• Be an integral part of an Agile engineering team and work collaboratively with fellow engineers and product owners
• Good knowledge of release management process & tools, remedy management
• Well-versed with Agile methodology and global delivery model
• Excellent communication skills.
• Responsible to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments, with an emphasis on process automation.
• Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews as well as Post Implementation retrospectives.
• Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
• Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
• Responsible to make sure the availability of development and test environment for the release.
• Able to handle any adhoc release with business stakeholders and development team collaboratively

Other Responsibilities
• Align release management as per Jira release process, work with PMO to prepare, manage & execute the release schedule.
• Ensuring that zero defects in release management process steps & risk review.
• Release process automation & release 'best practice' improvements delivered
• Utilize Automation of Regression suits to cut rollout time.
• Effective collaboration with all stakeholders.
• CAB review & CR approvals from respective release stakeholders

ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• Good experience in feature based agile release management Industry standard Java/J2EE application & AI/ML Platforms.
• Good Understanding of Big Data (Hadoop ) & Tools like Tableau , Power BI etc.
• Good development/scripting review skills includes implementation steps, shell/ansible/etc, DB scripts, Control-M setup
• Good to have knowledge in Core Java, DB & Python.
• Good understanding of version control systems like GIT.
• Good to have experience in AWS/Azure Cloud environment
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to details.
• In-depth understanding of software development life cycle and role of release management
• Good knowledge and experience in understanding project requirements and prepare all the release management activities
• Good understanding and experience in Agile work experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Working experience/knowledge of using release management & risk tracking tools.
