Job Summary
CPE is a global function and handles engineering level customer escalations across the product and solution landscape. CPE teams are involved in detecting and fixing customer problems, contributing to improving product quality, supportability and adding critical customer features.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Engineering Development Manager to be part of our Bangalore, India based engineering team. You must be capable of managing high caliber, subject matter experts and have deep understanding of engineering best practices related to planning, design, delivery and sustaining of systems software. You will also work effectively with staff to vice president level employees and employees within and outside of your function and organization. You will create and influence strategy as well as policy and apply in-depth knowledge to solve broad issues complex in nature and establish medium to long-range plans.
Job Requirements
• A major part of your responsibility will be to provide direction and supervision to the group or groups of Engineers responsible for: Coding & Debugging, Testing & Test automation, Critical and/or high visibility customers
• Lead a team of strong and high performing software development engineers and technical leads.
• Recruit, manage, train, drive, and evaluate the performance of your team.
• Drive on-time and high quality delivery of projects and features.
• Resolve field quality issues and deliver on product change requests.
• Utilize previously acquired technical experience to become actively involved in day-to-day projects to meet schedules and resolve problems.
• Develop and implement new projects, policies and procedures for the department(s); and ensure that project goals are met.
• Take responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
Education
• Knowledge in Platform/hardware development & testing
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience with 2+ years of management experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and situational leadership skills.
• Strong cross-functional focus with a record of developing strong working relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
