Job Description
The Microscopist / Laboratory Technician supports mineralogical and metallurgical analysis by performing microscopy, sample preparation, and routine laboratory tasks to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Key Responsibilities
Perform microscopy for mineral identification, counting, and image capture.
Prepare samples (crushing, milling, splitting, mounting, polishing).
Record and organize analytical data and images.
Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
Assist with routine analytical and counting procedures.
Follow QA/QC protocols and report any issues.
Adhere to health and safety policies.
Work Conditions
Moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting (10–15 kg).
Exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals in a lab environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.20-$31.24 per hour
