Responsibilities
Conceptualize, design, develop, and maintain websites; the designer will design and develop graphics/mockups and interfaces according to system specifications.
Work with Systems Analysts, Project Managers, and SharePoint Developers/Admins.
Utilize tools from the Adobe Creative Suite.
Create sophisticated, responsive, and device-friendly website (and web app) designs.
Create and design widgets with performance, scalability, and usability in mind.
Ability to work closely with team members and our clients.
Ability to lead and mentor a team of 3 web designers/developers.
Qualifications Required Skills/Work
5+ years’ experience with full design lifecycle phases from customer reviews, design, and development of websites.
5 years’ experience working with a technical team to design website templates and mockups.
5 years’ in Adobe Creative Suite.
5 years in leading and managing a team.
Strong knowledge in USWDS and 508 Compliance.
Expertise in crafting CSS3 that brings rich interfaces to life.
Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7, XP, 10, Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012).
Agile Development methodologies.
Expertise in platforms and large applications.
Other similar professional duties may be assigned as needed.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar required.
Work
US citizenship required in order to obtain a US government secret clearance.
Location/
Hybrid, candidate must be local to DC Metro or nearby and ready to come onsite at least once a week/month.
