The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in leverage finance transactions and a background in providing legal guidance to clients on structuring and executing complex financing deals
Admission to the Illinois Bar and in good standing.4-5 years of experience in leverage finance transactions at a large law firm, representing private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and/or lenders
Ability to structure complex financial transactions and advise clients on compliance and risk mitigation strategies
Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and global environment
Strong academic background with demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated financial transactions
Proficiency in legal research, problem-solving, and providing strategic advice
Responsibilities

Draft and review a wide range of finance documents, including credit and service agreements, high-yield bond indentures, commitment letters, term sheets, security agreements, guarantee agreements, and inter-creditor and subordination agreements
Provide ongoing legal support to clients post-transaction, ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards
Monitor and stay informed about relevant industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes to provide up-to-date counsel
