Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Mid-Level Event Security Specialist to join our security team. This role is ideal for security professionals with experience in event security who are looking to further their career by working in high-profile environments. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing security operations during events, maintaining a professional security presence, and ensuring a safe and secure environment. You will have the opportunity to build on your security experience while developing skills in incident response, access control, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities
• Security Operations: Oversee security activities during events, including managing entry and exit points, monitoring secure areas, and maintaining a strong, visible security presence at large-scale events.
• Security Patrols and Sweeps: Perform regular security checks and patrols to identify and mitigate potential threats and ensure event safety.
• Incident Response: Act swiftly and efficiently to respond to security incidents, ensuring the safety of all attendees, staff, and guests.
• Access Control: Monitor and control access to event locations to ensure that only authorized individuals enter secure areas.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with event staff and senior security personnel, ensuring clear communication within the security team and seamless coordination with event organizers.
Qualifications
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in event security, general security, or a related field.
• Experience working in crowded environments, such as events or public spaces, is highly preferred.
Certifications
• BSIS Guard Card (required).
• BSIS Appropriate Use of Force and/or Weapons of Mass Destruction (required).
• BSIS Powers to Arrest (required).
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant (required).
• Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly to security incidents.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with event staff, guests, and security personnel.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with security team members and event organizers.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on maintaining safety and professionalism in high-pressure environments.
