This role has been created within the Risk & Compliance (R&C) Shared Services CoE team to support the execution of the R&C Services location strategy, to assist in migrations, transitions and governance of services identified. The role requires interactions with various internal and external stakeholders across teams.

R&C Services has a management team within the wider COO business function. The role will support the Region, Business Function and Service Center through:
Planning and implementation of migrations
Policy and governance to approve the migration, ensuring all necessary / regulatory steps have been completed and agreed
Help manage the prioritization of services and process to transition
Provide regular reporting and status updates on progress, risk and issues for the management team
What you’ll do:

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision-making areas

Impact on the Business/Function:

Plan, and drive implementation of all R&C migrations regionally, in line with the agreed location strategy.
Be the liaison for businesses and all relevant stakeholders in the Service Center (SC)
Complete all relevant Migrations Documentation in line with the Migration Methodology and Regulatory Requirements
Educate businesses about SC setup and migration methodology
Conform to Audit requirements for all migration documentation
Ensure execution of migration as per agreed approach and highlight/mitigate any risks and challenges
Address issues appropriately and escalate where required
Assist in development of cross-regional opportunities

Adherence to the Risk & Compliance Location Strategy
Feedback from the business and leads
Any resulting audit findings on migration governance
Feedback from stakeholders on completeness of the deliverables on time and with quality
Customers / Stakeholders:

Establish ongoing, consistent relationship with assigned Region and Function for implementation of the migration pipeline and to support planning phase
The position involves close co-ordination with Operations, HR, Training, IT, Compliance and Finance teams to ensure timely escalation or resolution of any business constraints in achieving the assigned migration plans for the SC
Coordinate for approvals on the migration documentation by working closely with the Migrations team manager assigned
Manage and positively influence stakeholders across teams and levels to ensure migrations are sustainable and aligned with strategy, policies and standards.
Assume overall responsibility to ensure all relevant tools are up to date with accurate information

Implement migration as handed off by Migrations Planning Manager

Assume overall responsibility in ensuring compliance with the Migrations Methodology and all relevant Regulatory requirements
Timely and comprehensive business analysis, project management and support of related migration activities
Adhere to Governance in place for the smooth conduct of migrations, Group policies, audit, controls, and R&C requirements.
To continually assess the operational risks inherent in the processes, taking account of changing operating procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements, management restructures, and the impact of new technology.
Identification and escalation of issues in a timely manner
Flexibility in the nature of activities undertaken to suit the requirements of particular situations

Major Challenges

Increasing the profile and maturity of the Migration Support Model within R&C services
Liaising with various stakeholders on multiple projects with competing deadlines
Adherence to internal and external policy and regulations
Expertise in Migrations Methodology and Service Center setup
Understanding and managing the expectations of the business units within R&C to develop a climate of trust and confidence in the CoEs
Enabling the streamlined growth of R&C CoEs in line with the Location Optimization Strategy
Role Context

The role requires subject matter expert in Migration methodology who can cater to R&C service requirements.
The individual will be pro-active, independent, able to work within the R&C Migrations Support team to execute the migrations
Management of Risk

The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation.
This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviours that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhering to HSBC risk policies and procedures, including notification and escalation of any concerns, and taking required action in relation to points raised by audit and/or external regulators.
The jobholder is responsible for managing and mitigating operational risks in their day-to-day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structure referred to as the ‘Three Lines of Defence’. The jobholder should ensure they understand their position within the Three Lines of Defence, and act accordingly in line with operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure of actions required.
Through the implementation the Global AML, Sanctions and ABC Policies, supporting Guidance, and Line of Business Procedures the jobholder will make informed decisions in accordance with the core principles of HSBC's Financial Crime Risk Appetite.
The jobholder has responsibility for overseeing and ensuring that Operational risks are managed in accordance with the Group Standards Manual, Risk FIM and relevant guidelines and standards. The jobholder should comply with the detailed expectations and responsibilities for their core role in operational risk management through ensuring all actions take account of operational risks, and through using the Operational Risk Management Framework appropriately to manage those risks.
This will be achieved by:

Continuously reassessing risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
Ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring, addressing areas of concern in conjunction with Risk and relevant line colleagues, and also by ensuring that actions resulting from points raised by internal or external audits, and external regulators, are correctly implemented in a timely fashion.
Observation of Internal Controls

The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also, and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.

Experience of report generation, presentations, data collations, data reviews will be an added advantage

High degree of flexibility and ability to do cross stakeholder management.
