Job Description
The successful applicant will support the Defence Maintenance Contract Manager to ensure effective, efficient and best practice planning, scheduling, resourcing and progress monitoring. They will also coordinate with the client for regular progress and performance updates.
The role is being offered as permanent full-time, Monday to Friday and you will be based at the RAAF Base Edinburgh as part of the Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC).

About the role
Undertaking a mix of office based administrative tasks, plus non-technical support to tradespersons and local Defence clientele in our modern, state of the art maintenance facilities based at RAAF Edinburgh.
Managing the daily operation of customer facing reception areas within RAAF Edinburgh.
Compiling and managing inventory records and preparing requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies (assisting with the ordering and hastening of repair parts) for a wide range of ADF fleets.
Using Commonwealth managed systems as specified by the Commonwealth for specific tasks such as cargo visibility to manage, track and expedite repair parts.
Assisting with the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
Assisting with the administration and management of Commonwealth Supply Customer Account. (SCAs)
Supporting tradespersons via the performance of work order management and data entry tasks, within Commonwealth Mandated Information Systems. (e.g. SAP)
Assist management teams to prepare written work schedules, based on established guidelines and ADF priorities.
About you
Previous proven administrative experience in a similar role within a workshop environment. (highly desirable)
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. (essential)
Proficient planning, organisational, and communication skills. (essential)
Current Australian State or territory class C Driver's Licence. (essential)
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and reports, schedules, and information management systems.
A ‘can-do’, proactive approach to working within a large team environment.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
