The Opportunity

The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI is seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Ministerial Business Coordinator to manage and coordinate ministerial, parliamentary, Cabinet and government business activities. This role ensures high-quality and timely responses and submissions, aligning with departmental and government objectives.

This opportunity is offered as a 12-month fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, available for immediate filling.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage the preparation of ministerial, parliamentary and Cabinet documents and undertake an initial review and quality assurance
Prepare complex briefing packages for the Director General and Portfolio Ministers, including for parliamentary hearings and contentious issues briefing packs
Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders
Provide guidance on ministerial processes.
