Job Title: MIS Executive (Internship)
Department: IT/Operations/Administration
Reports To: Manager/Team Lead/Department Head
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management:
Collect, organize, and manage data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain databases, ensure data backups, and troubleshoot any issues with data storage or retrieval.
Report Generation:
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as per organizational requirements.
Create dashboards and visual representations of data to facilitate decision-making.
Analyze data trends and provide insights to improve operational performance.
System Maintenance:
Monitor and ensure the smooth functioning of MIS software.
Coordinate with IT teams to resolve system-related issues and ensure timely updates.
Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
Collaborate with various departments to streamline workflows and reporting processes.
Support and Training:
Provide training and support to team members on MIS tools and software.
Troubleshoot user issues and address technical queries related to MIS systems.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and data regulations.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive business information.
Skills and Qualifications:Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and Access.
Familiarity with SQL, ERP systems, and BI (Business Intelligence) tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields.
Certifications in data management, reporting tools, or MIS software are an advantage.
Experience:
1 years of experience in an MIS role or a related field is usually required.
Exposure to data analysis, reporting, or IT systems management is beneficial.
Work Environment:
Primarily an office-based role with occasional collaboration across departments.
May require occasional overtime to meet deadlines or resolve system issues.
