Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented MIS Executive specializing in Diesel Generator (DG) sets to oversee the efficient management of data and information related to our power generation operations. The MIS Executive will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing MIS reports, monitoring DG set performance metrics, and providing actionable insights to support operational efficiency and decision-making.
• Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Management:
- Design, develop, and maintain databases and data systems specifically for DG sets and related equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely data collection from DG set operations, maintenance logs, fuel consumption, performance parameters, etc.
- Consolidate data from various sources and prepare comprehensive MIS reports.
2. Report Generation and Analysis:
- Generate periodic reports on DG set performance, including uptime, fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and reliability metrics.
- Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies in DG set data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
3. Dashboard Development:
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize DG set performance metrics.
- Customize dashboards to meet the specific reporting needs of management and operational teams.
4. Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities through data analysis.
- Implement data-driven solutions to optimize DG set performance, reduce downtime, and enhance overall operational reliability.
5. Documentation and Training:
- Document MIS processes, data definitions, and reporting procedures related to DG sets.
- Provide training and support to end-users on accessing and interpreting MIS reports and dashboards effectively.
6. Coordination and Collaboration:
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and finance departments to ensure alignment of DG set MIS with business objectives and financial goals.
- Work closely with IT teams for system enhancements, data integration, and troubleshooting.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an MIS Executive or similar role in the power generation industry, with specific knowledge of DG sets or related equipment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools).
- Knowledge of DG set operations, maintenance practices, and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or professional certifications related to data management or business intelligence.
- Experience with IoT (Internet of Things) platforms or sensors used in monitoring DG set performance.
- Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS) or SCADA systems used in power generation.
