WE ARE HIRING: Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
Employment Type: 2-Year Contract
Location: Asia (Preference for Sri Lankan expatriates overseas)
Key Responsibilities
MNP Implementation
• Lead the full-cycle implementation of Mobile Number Portability (MNP) solutions.
• Collaborate with telecom operators, regulatory bodies, and technology vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Define, plan, and execute MNP operational and technical activities, including system integration, number database management, and service provisioning.
Technical Coordination
• Coordinate system architecture, network modifications, and interoperability with existing telecom systems.
• Work closely with IT, Core Network, and Service Operations teams to meet MNP project milestones.
Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legal requirements related to number portability in the assigned country.
• Manage relationships with regulators and key stakeholders for approvals and compliance reporting.
Testing and Go-Live Support
• Develop and execute MNP test plans, including pre-launch testing and post-launch monitoring.
• Support porting operations and troubleshooting during the go-live phase.
Training and Knowledge Transfer
• Train internal teams and stakeholders on MNP processes and workflows.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation and user manuals for ongoing operations.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
• Portability implementation.
• Proven track record of leading or heavily supporting MNP projects.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in telecom operations, with at least 2 - 3 years focused specifically on Mobile Number
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of MNP systems, telecom architecture, routing, and switching.
• Familiarity with database systems, number management, and regulatory compliance standards in telecommunications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and project management skills.
Personal Characteristics:
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in multicultural, geographically diverse teams.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
Candidate Preferences
• First Preference: Sri Lankan candidates who are currently working overseas in MNP implementation roles.
• Second Preference: Asian expatriates with strong MNP experience.
Contract Details
• Duration: 2 years (renewable based on performance and project needs)
• Location: Anywhere in Asia (relocation assistance may be provided if necessary)
