MOBILE TRAILER MECHANIC
We are recruiting an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic to join a market leader in transportation based in Carrington, Manchester. This is a Permanent Vacancy with great opportunities to progress, offering an excellent salary of 38,000 PLUS 1000 joining bonus and increased holiday entitlement!!
Shift pattern / Working hours
Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm
45 hour working week
Start date / Duration
The Mobile Trailer Mechanic role is a Permanent position that will commence with immediate effect however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.
Job Description
As a Mobile Trailer Mechanic you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing trailers to a high maintenance standard. Day to day you will be expected to;
• Attend roadside breakdowns and repairs
• Inspect, service and repair trailers to a high maintenance standard
• Ensure all vehicles are kept and operated in accordance to road traffic laws and company policies at all times
• Carrying out brakes, suspension, general repairs, 6 weekly inspections and routine services
• Provide high customer service levels whilst working to specified deadlines
The Successful Candidate
To be considered for the position of Workshop Trailer Fitter you must;
Have previous experience working on trailers
Have ideally worked as a mobile technician previously
Be able to complete relevant paperwork and have basic knowledge of computers
Have a good level of communication and be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
Hold a full UK Driving License
It would also be beneficial (but not essential) if you have experience in;
Welding
Double deck maintenance
