Mold Maintenance Technician
Essential Functions
1. Actively participate in the inspection, cleaning, repair, and modification of molds.
2. Maintain, monitor, and document injection mold history to ensure continuous adherence
to quality specifications and established company standards.
3. Work from blueprints, specifications, and diagrams, inspect completed work for
conformance to company standards.
4. Perform mold repair work on cavities and cores due to damage or wear. Note any
changes to molds, inserts, parts, etc. Must document work and keep accurate records.
5. Work with engineering department and participate in design reviews.
6. Knowledge of Hot runner mold system & its maintenance.
7-To work to minimize the mold breakdown.
8- Responsible for improving uptime and reducing maintenance cost of mold.
+- Maintain list of standard tooling components.
10-To plan and perform on time preventive maintenance of mold
Education and Experience
• Diploma or Degree in Plastic Mold Technology/Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum Four (4) years of experience in a tool room is required; demonstrated understanding of injection molding technology preferred
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel and outside vendors
