Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled MongoDB Administrator with extensive experience in managing and optimizing MongoDB databases in Kubernetes environments
Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and system integration is a mandatory requirement
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database administration, container orchestration, and automation tools, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient database operations
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a MongoDB Administrator, with strong expertise in sharding, replication, and database tuning
Proficiency in Kubernetes, including managing deployments, stateful sets, and storage provisioning
Advanced Python programming skills, particularly in scripting and system integration
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Certification in MongoDB or Kubernetes (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator - CKA)
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Knowledge of additional database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible

Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB databases
Monitor database performance and ensure high availability and reliability
Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning
Optimize database queries and indexes for performance improvements
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Kubernetes Management:
Deploy and manage MongoDB instances within Kubernetes clusters
Design and implement Helm charts or Kubernetes operators for MongoDB
Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes-related issues impacting database operations
Manage and optimize resource utilization within Kubernetes clusters
Python Scripting and Automation:
Develop Python scripts to automate routine database administration tasks
Integrate MongoDB with other systems and services using Python
Build monitoring and alerting tools using Python and related frameworks
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with development and operations teams to support database requirements
Provide guidance and best practices for using MongoDB in a Kubernetes environment
Document processes, configurations, and operational workflows
