Job Description
We are looking for a skilled MongoDB Database Administrator (DBA) with proficiency in NoSQL databases to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your deep understanding of MongoDB, NoSQL query languages, and distributed database systems to support, optimize, and manage our growing data infrastructure. As a key player, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design efficient data storage solutions, maintain high-performance databases, and ensure data integrity and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize MongoDB and other NoSQL databases to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with developers to design schemas, perform data modeling, and implement denormalization strategies tailored to NoSQL systems.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of distributed databases, particularly in cloud environments such as AWS DynamoDB, ScyllaDB, and CockroachDB.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, improve query optimization, and maintain system uptime.
- Apply your knowledge of CAP theorem and consistency models to ensure efficient data handling and robust system architecture.
- Stay updated on the latest NoSQL technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure continued optimization and scalability of our database infrastructure.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience working with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
- Deep understanding of database concepts like CAP theorem, data modeling, and consistency models.
- Proficiency in MongoDB query language and other NoSQL query languages.
- Experience with cloud-based NoSQL databases such as AWS DynamoDB, Couchbase, ScyllaDB, YugabyteDB.
- Strong ability to analyze data requirements and design scalable, efficient data storage solutions.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data analysts, and DevOps engineers.
