Job Description
RMLC is seeking a qualified, passionate and dedicated early childhood educator (or equivalent) to join our team, leading students in a multi-age, Montessori classroom on a full-time basis. Applicants are required to have a certificate in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Education, or similar post-secondary qualifications, as well as up to day CPR/First Aid and a criminal record vulnerable sector check. This position covers a maternity leave, so a minimum of 12-18 months is expected, although opportunities for permanent employment may exist. The role is expected to begin late May 2026.
Responsibilities:
-Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum based on both the Montessori philosophy and the New Brunswick Early Childhood Education Framework
-Work collaboratively in a team-teach environment in an open-concept classroom (ability to work with professionally with colleagues is essential)
-Encourage a positive learning environment that recognizes and celebrates each child's unique learning styles
-Communicate respectfully and effectively with families, children, and colleagues
-Observe and document children's interests and progress on an on-going basis
-Maintain a safe and organized classroom in compliance with departmental regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.83-$25.+1 per hour
