Full job description
Located near Auckland Airport, our motel offers comfortable, high-quality accommodation with excellent connectivity and a reliable shuttle service. We are now seeking two skilled Motel Managers to run and manage the day-to-day operations of the motel.
Job requirements
At least 2 years of relevant work experience or not required if the qualification requirement is met: A diploma level 5 or above in Hospitality or Management or Business.
Exceptional customer service, sales and communication skills.
Be able to work weekends and nightshifts, public holiday.
Must be computer literate.
Innovative and always looking for new ideas.
Proven experience within an accommodation setting is an advantage, along with a high level of performance.
A true passion for hospitality and people, with a generous approach to training and motivating staff
Flexibility with client requests driven by a caring thinking
Well-presented, with a warm and engaging personality
Living on-site in staff accommodation is preferred.
Holding NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and hold a full driver’s license.
Tasks & responsibilities
Supervision and delegation of duties to staff members
Organising and supervising work schedules, and organising cover for any calls of sickness or unavailability
Ensuring that all motel policies and rules are complied with at all times
Managing, monitoring and coordinating reservations from all avenues
Formulating tourism information and updating local brochures for outreach service
Keeping the day-to-day records of banking and accounts of the premises
Responding to customer complaints and comments to their satisfaction
Planning and developing the overall motel marketing strategies
Organising, planning and executing special promotions and remaining completive room pricing
Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock and products selections
Supervising on-site maintenance, supplies, renovations, furnishings, electricity, water leakage and other emergent cases etc.
Pick up and drop off guest from and to Auckland Airport
Greeting guests and managing the check-in and check-out process.
To ensure smooth operation of the motel, including coordinating with housekeeping team/ maintenance, organise house staff coverage as necessary.
Ensure the motel is nice & tidy (regular clean and maintenance program)
Upholding the security, health & safety, and comply with all procedures in place.
What we offer
This role is permanent and full-time (minimum 30 hours/ week). The job location is based in Auckland
Competitive wages ranging from $25 to $34 per hour depending on individual experience and skills
