Motor Mechanic
G&J Auto Mechanic and Inspection Station Pty Ltd
$75,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation
Permanent, Full-time (38 hours per week)

G&J Auto Mechanic and Inspection Station Pty Ltd is a full-service automotive, collision repair, detailing and preventive maintenance center that have been performing high quality, guaranteed automotive repairs since 2010. We are your logical alternative to the dealership for all scheduled maintenance of your personal vehicle, or fleet cars and trucks. We are the most advanced repair facility in the area utilizing the most up to date service information and diagnostic equipment. We honor all after-market warranties and direct bill all fleet maintenance programs.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our growing team.
Responsibility
Repair, maintain and test motor vehicle and other internal combustion engines and related mechanical components.
Duties
Identifying and diagnosing faults in engines and components.
Taking apart and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts, then inspecting them.
Fixing or replacing worn or faulty parts, reassembling mechanical components, and consulting service manuals when necessary.
Carrying out routine maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to ensure smoother vehicle operation and compliance with emission standards.
Putting engines and components back together after repairs.
Testing and fine-tuning repaired mechanical parts to ensure proper function.
Using computer-assisted tools to diagnose and test components.
Inspecting vehicles and issuing roadworthiness certificates or outlining required work to meet roadworthiness standards.
Qualifications
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training
AQF Certificate IV
Experience
At least three years of relevant experience.
Skills and Attributes
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication skills.
Must have great work ethics.
