Duties
Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, and fluid replacements
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as an ohmmeter to troubleshoot electrical systems and component failures
Replace worn or damaged parts with precision, ensuring proper fit and function
Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and diagnostic findings accurately in service records
Follow safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Assist in vehicle testing after repairs to confirm issues are resolved and vehicles meet quality standards
Experience
Time served with relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ Qualifications. Flexible approach to working hours. Full driving licence aged 21+ for insurance purposes. Ability to work in a busy environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently and accurately
Excellent attention to detail to ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
