Position Overview
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Teacher is responsible for creating and delivering engaging, inquiry-based lessons that align with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy. • Develop, update, and maintain all subject-specific MYP curricular documents, including unit plans, scope and sequence, and assessment plans.
• Ensure all documentation aligns with the IB MYP framework and reflects current educational best practices.
• Regularly review and revise curriculum documents to incorporate feedback, reflect new developments in the IB MYP, and address the evolving needs of students.
3. Assessment and Feedback
• Design and implement formative and summative assessments in alignment with IB MYP criteria and objectives.
• Use a variety of assessment tools and strategies to evaluate student progress and understanding.
• Provide timely, constructive, and personalized feedback to students and parents.
4. Professional Development and Lifelong Learning
• Stay up to date with developments in the MYP framework, subject-specific pedagogy, and educational technology.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in IB workshops, conferences, and training.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and promote a culture of professional growth and learning.
5. IB Programme Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain unit planners that align with the IB MYP guidelines and requirements.
