Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and understand blueprints of complex aero engines parts.
• Design perspective review and resolve defects and nonconforming conditions in detail and assemblies.
• Proficient in resolving design-related issues for aero blisk commodity with practical experience.
• Document and determine if abnormalities are related to engineering issues. And proposed corrections will not negatively affect the functionality of systems.
• Verify that materials are structurally adequate for their purpose in the assembly.
• Be responsible for anomaly investigation, technical solution development and coordination, and preparation and release of dispositions related to discrepancies on high-performance blisks and associated assemblies.
• Coordinate across a large number of functional areas, including Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Tests, Structures and Systems Design groups, Safety, Materials, and Processes.
• Work closely with the production floor, support process improvements, and incorporate best practices into daily operations.

Key Technical/Professional Competencies

• Pratt & Whitney working experience on engines and blisk commodities would be an added advantage as this will help to perform core activities.Â
• Strong understanding of design fundamentals.
• Solid foundation in engineering principles, with practical exposure in the aerospace industry.
• Familiarity with aero blisk manufacturing processes. Good grasp of manufacturing process controls, material specification, inspection standards, and statistical process controls.
• Â Understanding of product design and introduction processes.
• Thorough understanding of the materials used in blisk design and the associated manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of the metallurgical composition of raw materials for blisks to ensure they meet stringent requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of complex airfoil geometries, including twists and sharper edges. Awareness of common defects encountered in blisk commodities.

Education & Professional Qualification:

• Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical/Industrial EngineeringÂ
• Hands on Design fundamentals
• Minimum hands-on experience in Manufacturing Engineering 8-10 years

Computer/SW skills:
MS Office tools : MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, SAP.
CAD tools : UG Nx, Solid works
Product Lifecycle Management: Teamcenter , CAPP (Knowledge)
