DXC Technology India is seeking great talent to join the Modern Application development group.
The Microsoft Dynamics AX Consultant will act independently and advise on or manage the solution development for large complex engagements, supporting Presales primarily. He/she will provide subject matter expertise for establishing world-class approaches to presales, scripted solution demonstrations, estimations and provide input for SOW & Proposals supporting the Practice Leader and/or Services Executive.
The Consultant will be a key technical spokesperson for the DXC Microsoft Practice. The Consultant will help create strong business cases supported by compelling value propositions, and will demonstrate how customers can realize substantial value by deploying the Microsoft solutions. He/she must be fluent in all aspects of relevant Microsoft Dynamic AX products and services and possess excellent presentation skills to concisely design, articulate and present our strategy to decision makers at key customers.
The Consultant will facilitate high intensity workshops to develop business requirements, develop demonstrations to provide solution proof, support the development of proposals and statements of work to include drafting estimation of effort/cost.
Responsibilities
• Work in cross functional teams to drive effective creation of Minimum Viable Products that bring business value faster.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Think creatively to solve the user problem with holistic and simple solution
• Support to maintain and improve the application functionality
• Drive best practices within teams with respect to coding standards and guidelines
• Develops /Write code and tests, deploy application functionality to meet requirement specification / In-Scope User Stories
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Build products aligned to help our clients succeed in the industry
• Ability to learn and adapt to new frameworks/technologies
• Ensure compliance with the documented software processes and procedures throughout the life cycle
• Constantly review the code to ensure the quality of the design by avoiding complexity, advocating clarity and to do this with the team
• Contribute to each step of the product development process from ideation to implementation to release using DevOps best practices such as continuous Integration, Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery
• Create software documentation and update existing documentation Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies
Desired Skills and Qualifications
• Should have 6+ years of Experience
• Implementation and Hands on experience in MS Dynamics D365, AX.
• Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics D365, AX 2012
• Core development capabilities in X++, MorphX, C#, Web-services, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS
• Deep knowledge in Application Integration Framework (AIF), Enterprise Portal, Workflows and Reporting in Dynamics AX.
• Experience in related technologies like SharePoint, and BizTalk
• Experience in Migrating data from other systems to Dynamics AX
• Experience in Integrating Dynamics AX with other systems
• Should have implemented (end to end) at least 8 AX projects
• Should have involved in solution design (At least 8 projects)
• Experience in fit gap analysis
• Experience in leveraging Microsoft SureStep methodology for full-lifecycle implementations
• Good client facing skills
• Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics D365, AX 2012 preferred
• Experience in writing Unit Test cases
• Good Oral and written communication
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall software development environments
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Nice to have skills:
• AX Retail experience an advantage
• Domain Knowledge in at least one F & O modules
• Experience in related technologies like SharePoint, and BizTalk
• Run experiments on new and existing features. Ability to learn new technologies and influence the team
