SQL Developer
Reporting to: Senior Manager
Description: | Qualification: Bachelors/ Master’s degree in computer science/ IT/ another computer-based discipline Experience: 3+ Yrs | Location: Pune, India Open Position : 1
Summary:
A Professional with minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in the field of IT services with major focus on database, ETL, reporting and visualization projects.
As a Technical Consultant, your main responsibilities includes:
• Implement solutions using SQL Server suite and related technologies
• Leverage advanced database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business and operational analysis Develop high performing, reliable and scalable solutions
• Work independently or as part of a team to design and develop solutions. Provide post-go live resolution of issues from clients. Strong knowledge in MS SQL Server.
• Thorough Knowledge on Data Warehouse concepts like Star Schema, Snow Flake Schema, Dimension Tables and Fact Tables.
• Strong experience on SQL building blocks.
• Hands on experience in ETL process using any ETL will be a plus. Expert knowledge of Data Management, Business Intelligence and Analytics
• Hands on experience in Report Designing, Report Deploying, Report Subscriptions using any reporting tool will be plus.
• Experience in gathering requirements and coming up with solution approach. Should have delivered BI projects end to end.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Overlooking the complete SQL Server landscape, maintaining and making sure database is up and running and available to users
• Taking requests directly form the end users and delivering the requirement end to end, understanding the data and domain for development.
• Creating complex SQL queries and Procedures.
• Excellent in-depth knowledge in Cursors, Indexes, Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Exception Handling.
• Excellent in-depth knowledge in Collections, Records, Bulk Collect, Views
• Building ETL packages from scratch, designing the database, maintain and organize the data for the organization, optimization of Packages, databases, Queries and reports
• Solving issues in already build reports and dashboards, working directly with the end users and providing solutions to the requirements
• Responsible for the successful deployment of technology products in BI area • Strong database concepts and good hands on experience on SQL using SQL Server. Experience of working in a full cycle data warehouse implementation Responsible for designing the ETL Strategy & Architecture of the Project
• Excellent analytic, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with proven ability to quickly understand a problem, determine significance of issue and identify a solution
• Focus on delivering results, and work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations, work with technology team to ensure smooth running of the Servers
• Knowledge of any of the other BI tools (e.g. SAP BO, BODS, Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI etc.) would be good to have
Technical Expertise:
SQL/ PLSQL, Database Experience:
• Hands on experience in SQL Server Tools
• Database concepts (Entities, attributes, relationships, joins)
• Should have worked on large databases
• Hands on experience of working on complex stored procedures in SQL server
• Should have worked on creating indexes, triggers, SQL jobs
• Creation and daily maintenance of SQL jobs
• Experience of Tuning Queries
• Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices • Designing and modeling databases and data warehouse.
• Data warehousing concepts and methodology
ETL & Reporting Experience:
• Basic understanding in Business Intelligence design and implementation experience using any BI technology
• Minimal experience in ETL design and implementation, understand business requirements and arrive at a plan for implementation using BI tools
• Data gathering, research and analytical abilities to develop insightful conclusions and generate solutions to address user needs, develop efficient methods to automate data loads, generate complex reports and design data warehouse using the BI tools, document the process of creating BI output.

• Working knowledge of ETL using SSIS, Informatics is required
• Working knowledge of reporting using SSRS, SAP BO, MicroSrategy is a plus
• Working knowledge of business analytics tools such as SSAS
• Knowing Tableau/ Qlikview/ Power BI along with knowledge of python/ html is a plus.

• Manage internal/ external stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work closely with client to understand requirements
