Alex House Children’s Centres are growing, and we are looking for caring, passionate, creative and flexible individuals to join our dynamic childcare team as an Multi-Site Early Childhood Educator. Our team is collaborative and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning alongside the First Peoples Principles of Learning and the BC Early Learning Framework. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Our Multi-Site Early Childhood Educator will work to collaborate with a team of Early Childhood Educators to plan, develop and deliver daily activities, that support and promote the health and development of children 0-12 years of age, using the Reggio Emilia approach to learning alongside the BC Early Learning Framework. Other responsibilities include developing strong relationships and communication with children, families and colleagues, and implementing high standards of care and supervision that promote the well-being of all children. They will be responsible for supporting multiple locations preferably in one hub but will be required to support where program needs are required. And other related duties as required.

Qualifications Required:

· Experience working in a licensed childcare setting an asset

· Early Childhood Education Certificate and First Aid certificate

· Experience being flexible to work in multiple locations

· Understanding and/or willingness to learn the Reggio Emilia approach to learning the First Peoples Principles of Learning and the BC EarlyLearning Framework

Understand, support and implement Decolonization, Inclusion and Diversity strategic plans for Alex House
· Experience and working knowledge of creating a care plan is an asset.

· Strength in creating and maintaining a supportive and collaborative partnership with families

· Creativity, flexibility, initiative, enthusiasm and sense of humor

· Passion for on-going professional growth and development

· Ability to work in a multicultural and inclusive environment

· Strong planning, organizational, leadership and communication skills

· Proven sound judgement, ethical decision making, ability to stay calm under pressure and appropriate personal and professional boundaries

· In a non-profit community-based organization, have the ability to work in a multicultural and inclusive environment

· Class 5 required and willing to take Class 4

This is a regular, full-time, 40-hour position, with an annual hiring range: $22.00-$25.25 (ANHBC Band-C2) plus $6 Wage Enhancement-depending on qualifications.
