Multi Skilled Repair Technician required for a Repair Centre in Reading
Salary DOE in the region of £40-45k basic + Bonus
We are looking for a Multi skilled Repair Technician to join our client's Repair Centre in Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform a wide range of vehicle repairs, including but not limited to bodywork, mechanical, and electrical repairs.
• Carry out panel beating, welding, and paint preparation to the highest standards.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and accurately.
• Operate various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining repairs and processes to clients when required.
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Repair Technician or similar role within a bodyshop or repair centre.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle repair techniques, including panel beating, welding, paint preparation, and mechanical repairs.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in vehicle repair are highly desirable.
