Position: Full-time multimedia journalist (remote)

PAXnews.com, Canada’s leading travel industry news outlet, is seeking a full-time multimedia journalist. Travel industry news gets a bold spin in PAX. Our timely and insightful articles keep Canadian travel professionals in the know and ahead of the curve.
What You’ll Be Doing:
· Writing daily news stories for PAXnews.com
· Interviewing travel advisors and industry leaders across all sectors (air, cruise, hotel, retail, tour operators, trade associations and more)
· Covering industry events, trade shows and press conferences (some in Toronto, others outside of Canada)
· Capturing high-quality photos at events
· Creating engaging video content and reporting on camera (for Facebook and Instagram Reels, for example).
· Supporting and growing PAX’s digital and social media presence
· Staying plugged into travel industry trends and issues. On occasion, you’ll be required to turn complex details into reader-friendly copy.
· Collaborating with a dynamic, remote team that’s passionate about B2B travel news.
What You Bring to the Table:
2+ years of journalism experience (interviewing, writing and editing skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines)
Excellent research abilities to support fact-based reporting.
On-camera confidence, video editing skills, and an eye for taking good photos
Social media expertise —Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn especially
A sharp mind for business and B2B writing and creating SEO-friendly content
A flexible schedule for travelling abroad and willingness to attend events on some weeknights
Access to downtown Toronto (remote is great, but we want you close enough to cover local happenings).
