Artist Assistant / marketing & promotion co-ordinator (student intern or trainee welcome)
Job Summary:
As a Music Artist Marketing and Promotion Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and executing marketing and promotional campaigns for our music artists. Your role will involve coordinating with various departments and external partners to maximize the visibility and reach of our artists' music, events, and brand. You will play a crucial part in crafting and delivering effective marketing strategies that build fan engagement and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Development: Work with marketing, social media, and PR teams to develop comprehensive marketing and promotional strategies for artists' releases, tours, and other activities.
- Content Creation: Coordinate the creation of promotional materials, including press releases, social media content, email newsletters, and website updates.
- Event Coordination: Organize and support promotional events such as album release parties, concerts, and media appearances.
- Digital Marketing: Manage digital marketing campaigns, including social media advertising, influencer partnerships, and SEO strategies.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, bloggers, and influencers to secure interviews, reviews, and features.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and promotions, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Artist Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for artists regarding marketing initiatives, ensuring their input and satisfaction with promotional activities.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with the A&R, sales, and product development teams to align marketing efforts with broader company goals.
- Assisting the artist with day-to-day activities and events, including diary planning and the daily, weekly, and monthly planning of both music-related and non-music-related matters.
- Supporting the artist with their personal image and providing comprehensive daily assistance and management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: some experience in marketing, promotions, or a related field, ideally within the music industry ( Can be trained).
- Education: Student or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Music Business, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the music industry, current trends, and the target audience. - Personal Attributes: Passion for music, strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset.
