Job DescriptionLondon's leading College is looking for an exceptional Music Technician to join its Music and Modern Foreign Languages Team. About the role:Music Technician, City and Islington Sixth Form College.We are looking for a senior music technician to join our team at City and Islington Sixth Form College. Your primary responsibility will be to support the work of students and teachers of A-level Music, Music Technology and Modern Foreign Languages, but you will also support cross-centre events and activities. City and Islington Sixth Form College is a well-established and over-subscribed specialist A-level centre. We are situated on one site at Angel in the heart of London and our wonderful students travel from across the capital to learn with us. We have a wide range of enrichment and extension activities to develop our students' confidence and skills and this post makes a key contribution to that work.About you:
• Relevant degree
• Experience of working with 16-1+ year olds
• Experience of the working mechanisms of theatre and music performance including operation of sound equipment.
• Experience of using relevant software such as Logic Pro, Dorico, and Ableton; maintaining Macs and Musical instruments and post music production.
• Expertise in recording, setting up and using voice recorders for speaking exams - able to convert files to be sent to exam board
