Job Description
As a database administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and sustenance of our ecosystem. This includes building databases, providing responsive support, and collaborating with the application team for database design, tuning, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Built Databases using variety of methods.
• Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing database system.
• Creating and managing databases in Clustered and Non-clustered modes.
• Handling upgrade, migration, backup, recovery and replication tasks.
• Maximizing database efficiency by resolving query bottlenecks, resource utilization and database parameter fine-tuning.
Ideal Candidate:
• 3+ years of Linux operating system experience.
• Profound knowledge of MySQL technology and its advanced features.
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills within primary MySQL environment.
• Proficient scripting language such as shell script, python, or ruby with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
• Depth knowledge of High Availability Clustering Solutions such as Galera, PXC, InnoDB cluster, MHA, and Golden Gate.
• Knowledge of MariaDB and Postgres adds value.
• Additional expertise in NoSQL databases like Cassandra and Couchbase also valuable.
• Adept in multiple areas including Database administration, capacity planning disaster recovery security and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Devops principles along with CI CD tool (Jenkins) and config management (chef ansible).
• Superb communication and ability to connect with diverse global teams.
