At the Ministry of Justice, we put our customers at the forefront of everything we do. The work of our Centralised Services is pivotal in supporting Courts and Tribunals in enabling access to justice and delivering quality services to the people of Aotearoa.
Our Contact Centre is the first point of contact for anyone calling the Ministry, from wondering what time their local court opens, queries about Jury Duty to questions about upcoming hearings. All our calls are unique, with every touchpoint in this team viewed as an opportunity to help people. We do so one-call at a time with respect and kindness at the forefront.
This role is primarily focused on taking calls, and in time learning other tasks delivered across Centralised Services. These include data entry, processing customer applications, and responding to correspondence. The National Registry Officer role includes exercising powers as a Deputy Registrar of the District Court.

How to get your foot in the door:
We will run an assessment centre via teams, during this assessment-centre we will talk to you about the role, run a group exercise and conduct a role play assessment.
If progressed from assessment centre, you will be invited to an interview
Working hours from 8.00am-5.00pm Monday- Friday
Anticipated start date: Monday 22 June 2026.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The remuneration band for this role is $60,729-$80,794 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
