About the role
The National Commercial Services Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the organisation’s commercial and administrative services across the Australian branch network. The role provides high level strategic and operational support to senior management, including oversight of administrative processes, staff management, financial planning, and resource allocation. The position also develops and implements operational policies and procedures, monitors organisational performance, and ensures the efficient use of financial, physical, and human resources to support the delivery of integrated logistics and supply chain services. The role contributes to organisational planning, prepares reports and recommendations for senior management, and represents the organisation in commercial discussions, industry meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
The role requires a hands on leader who combines strategic vision with active business development and a deep understanding of freight forwarding and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee administrative operations across the organisation to ensure efficient processes and consistent service delivery.
Manage corporate resources including staff, facilities, and operational systems to support organisational objectives.
Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to improve efficiency and compliance.
Provide strategic administrative advice, performance reports, and operational insights to senior management to support decision-making.
Monitor organisational performance and analyse operational data to identify improvements in service standards and business processes.
Coordinate administrative support services and work with operational teams to maintain high service quality and effective organisational operations.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Proven experience in commercial management, business development, or sales in freight forwarding/logistics.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to motivate and develop staff.
Strategic thinker with experience in business planning, operational procedures, and performance monitoring.
Customer-focused, committed to delivering service excellence and building strong client relationships.
Experience managing corporate resources, administrative systems, and ensuring governance and compliance.
