Make an impact at Serco
As our National Engineering Manager – Maritime, you’ll provide strategic oversight of Engineering Services across our Defence Maritime and Training Systems portfolio. You'll be responsible for improving the performance, compliance, and availability of critical Defence systems, while ensuring alignment with the Navy Technical Regulatory Framework.

Working closely with Contract Managers and engineering teams, you’ll consolidate technical data, manage configuration and maintenance strategies, and drive continuous improvement in system sustainment.

As a National Engineering Manager – Maritime in the Defence team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Leading national engineering oversight across diverse Defence contracts
Ensuring compliance with Navy Technical Regulatory Frameworks
Managing configuration, obsolescence, and maintenance systems
Conducting technical analysis and risk assessments for engineering decisions
Supporting engineering investigations and change management with OEMs
Mentoring technical teams and reviewing engineering artefacts and task completion

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
Over 5 years of maintenance management experience in a naval defence setting
Strong knowledge of naval engineering and Defence sustainment practices
Proficiency in interpreting and acting on complex technical data
Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
Familiarity with the Royal Australian Navy Technical Regulatory Framework
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Visio and Project
Australian Citizen in order to achieve and maintain a defence security clearance of NV1
