Role Overview – National Key Account Manager (Retail Division)

The National Key Account Manager (NKAM) will drive retail growth and manage Key Account Managers (KAMs) PAN India, focusing on our best-selling Hairsprays & Gel-Based Fruit Colors. This senior-level role requires strong market expertise, industry connections, and a strategic mindset to expand retail partnerships and maximize revenue.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

1. National Account Strategy & Business Growth

• Develop and implement a PAN India retail sales strategy for Hairsprays & Gel-Based Fruit Colors.

• Oversee Key Account Managers (KAMs) and drive sales performance across India.

• Identify and develop large retail chains, distributors, and general trade networks.

2. Sales & Revenue Management

• Achieve national sales targets and drive expansion into untapped markets.

• Optimize pricing, inventory, and payment cycles with distributors and retailers.

• Implement aggressive growth plans for national retail expansion.

3. People Management & Leadership

• Recruit, train, and lead KAMs across multiple regions.

• Monitor KPI-driven performance metrics and implement corrective actions.

4. Retail & Modern Trade Expansion

• Establish partnerships with supermarkets, beauty retail chains, e-commerce platforms.

• Develop long-term trade agreements and promotional campaigns with key retailers.

5. Brand Positioning & Market Activation

• Align sales with marketing campaigns, influencer promotions, and in-store branding.

• Drive category management strategies for maximum shelf presence.

6. E-Commerce & Digital Sales Optimization

• Collaborate with E-Commerce Sales Team for digital-first strategies.

• Manage sales on Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, Purplle, and other platforms.

7. Competition & Market Intelligence

• Stay ahead with competitor analysis, pricing strategies, and consumer insights.

• Develop counter-strategies to outperform competitors.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Professional Experience

• 10+ years in National Key Account Management, Retail Sales, FMCG, or Beauty Industry.

• Strong experience in modern trade, general trade, and distributor management.

2. Key Competencies

• Leadership & Team Management – Ability to mentor KAMs nationwide.

• Negotiation & Business Acumen – Strong industry connections and deal-making skills.

• Market Intelligence & Consumer Insights – Deep understanding of beauty retail.

• Revenue & P&L Management – Experience in pricing, budget allocation, and ROI.

3. Educational Background

• MBA in Sales/Marketing/Business Management preferred.
