MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To plan the Go to Market strategy and distribution network for all products, plan and achieve the sales and collections as per the directions of the management on a month on month basis.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting to the President Sales and reported to by the sales team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Study the existing sales and distribution network and identify strong, weak and untapped areas. Formulate a plan for each product along with Top Management.
• Assess each team member in terms of capabilities and will and identify strong and weak members. Assess each person in terms of the ability to sell, appoint distributors, architect coverage and redeploy where necessary after discussions with UV and VP.
• Oversee and ensure the mini meets and other activities are being done as per the plan. Suggest new activities where required.
• Plan the distribution of the various products to ensure the availability and to meet the market demands. Plan the need for distributors in various locations based on the intensity of the distribution for each product individually. Identify and appoint distributors and clarify the area, working, support from company and prepare a business plan to ensure maximization of sales and collection.
• To plan and achieve the sales of all products as per the targets set by the management on an annual, quarterly and monthly sales for all products.
• To ensure advances and o/s collections as per the company norms.
• To assess the need for sales team in various areas to reach the targets, recruit, lead, monitor, motivate and train the sales team to achieve the sales targets. Visit the customers along with the sales team to assess the need for training and provide on the job training as well as external training if needed.
• Plan the sales structure as required to meet the targets.
• To devise and execute trade schemes for primary secondary sales as well as for team members.
• To meet the distributors on a regular basis and discuss business opportunities and enhance business. Alleviate any problems, plan the market coverage, appointment of dealers, displays, appointment of sub distributors, architect visits of the distributor, project follow up and discuss ways to improve sales and service. To bring to notice any issues and discuss and resolve with management.
• To travel in the markets and guide the sales team and meet the customers, expected travel will be 15 to 20 days a month.
• To hold weekly meetings with team leaders and sales team for follow up.
KRA/KPI
• Achieving the sales targets of the company on a month to month basis-50%
• Appointment of distributors and sub distributors as per plan-50 per quarter starting from June 1st.- 50%
