Job Summary:

The National Sales Head for Cardiovascular Medical Devices is responsible for leading and driving the national sales strategy, execution, and achievement of sales targets across all regions. This role involves developing and implementing sales plans, managing key customer require leading to drive commercial excellence through compliant capital efficient growth relationships, and ensuring the growth of the cardiovascular medical device portfolio. The National Sales Head will work closely with the executive team to align sales strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy for the cardiovascular medical device portfolio.
• Establish sales targets and ensure the team meets or exceeds these goals.
• Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
• Establish appropriate channel/Distribution strategies to expand and optimize business expansion
• Drive key business and sales manager processes to support the businesses
• Drive sales force effectiveness initiatives to improve productivity
• Lead business model transformation initiatives for enhancing competitiveness

Team Leadership and Management:
• Lead, mentor, and manage the national sales team, including regional sales managers and account executives.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure team effectiveness.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and product knowledge of the sales team.

Market Expansion and Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share in the cardiovascular medical device sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities and campaigns.

Key Account Management:
• Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with major clients to secure long-term partnerships.
• Address customer concerns and provide solutions to enhance customer experience.

Financial Management:
• Monitor and manage the national sales budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the executive team.
• Analyse sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with the product development and R&D teams to provide feedback on market needs and product improvements.
• Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Coordinate with the regulatory affairs team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the medical device industry, specifically in cardiovascular products.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the cardiovascular medical device market, including key players, products, and industry trends.
• Ability to travel nationally as required.
