We are seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager to build on and strengthen our very successful brands across key regional and national accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record to contribute to our continued growth.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for
• Account Management: Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts, including wholesalers, national retailers, supermarkets, and online marketplaces, to maximize sales opportunities.
• Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, expanding the reach of our three brands – Haden, Sabichi, and PIFCO.
• Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies that align with company objectives and drive growth across all channels.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, track key performance indicators, and report on progress to senior management.
• Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations with major accounts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions while maintaining strong partnerships.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Marketing, Product Development, and Operations) to ensure product offerings, promotional activities, and supply chain alignment meet customer needs.
• Budget Management: Oversee and manage sales budgets to ensure profitability and achieve financial targets.
• Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify growth opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
• Customer Engagement: Regularly visit customers to maintain relationships, gather feedback, and present new product ranges.
• Trade Shows & Events: Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to showcase our product portfolio and strengthen customer relationships.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Sales Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in a national sales role, ideally within homewares, consumer goods, or a related industry.
• Account Management Expertise: Strong track record of managing and growing national/key accounts, including major retailers, wholesalers, or supermarkets.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills with a deep understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability.
• Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Results-Oriented: A target-driven individual with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales goals.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate ideas, present products, and lead negotiations effectively.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse sales data, market trends, and performance metrics to make informed decisions.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly to meet clients and attend events, including overnight stays when required.
• Team Player: Strong collaboration skills, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure business alignment and success.
• Team Management: Ability to manage and motivate a team of regional sale managers
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in homewares, electrical goods, or related industries.
• Previous experience working with national retailers and supermarkets.
• Knowledge of e-commerce and online marketplaces (Amazon, Wayfair, etc.).
• Experience in managing and motivating team members.
