Sr Software Engineer - Infrastructure

The Mission of this Role:
To design, develop and deliver high-quality software with a high level of productivity. Responsible for mentoring and guiding other team members to elevate their performance.
Scope:
Responsible for architectural design and creating high-level and detailed design specifications, converting them into code. Supports implementation and functional/integrated testing, additionally guides the team to meet deliverables.
How You Will Spend Your Days:
Key Accountability
Converting software requirements to design documents
• Understands and decodes software requirements for development, converts them into component architecture and design for varying complexity levels.
• Uses novel design approaches to leverage on benefits of a common architecture for different vehicle lines with slightly varying customer requirements.
Coding and development
• Converting the design into efficient code using high level of coding language proficiency, while also guiding other team members.
• Leads the development of features/functions with the scrum team.
• Participates in review of work products to debug and address any complex architectural issues.
Implementation and testing
• Responsible for the implementation and unit-level testing of components developed. Works on defect resolution to fix identified defects in existing systems or the future release as an enhancement.
• Works to identify and implement test methodologies at unit /integration/functional level.
• Works to provide a quick turnaround for reported defects with the necessary documentation.
Documentation and reporting
• Compliance with standards for technical documentation and reporting within the team and stakeholders.
• Builds repository of team’s collective knowledge, seeks information and leverages knowledge to drive efficiency and effectiveness
People development
• Leads and is accountable for project delivery, also provides informal leadership and mentoring to junior members.
• Reviews work products and guides the team.
Collaboration with other teams
• Works while interfacing with the Architects/Requirement /Safety/Validation Leads to coordinate with multiple teams for overall delivery.
• Works to collaborate with internal customers to understand and decode SW requirements, consult using domain expertise.
Key Experience required:
• Android HAL development Infotainment GPS, Camera, Vehicle or any other HAL modules
• Good understanding of Android architecture and Framework (AOSP, Binder IPC, Application framework)
• Android CTS, VTS and GTS debugging and issue fixing
• Android KPI, Boot and Memory optimizations
• Experience on Android HIDL interfaces implementation and customizations.
• Multi-threaded programming using POSIX & Good understanding of Access control & user privilege mechanism in Linux
• Experience in working with ARM /X86/ Multi core processor environment
Bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Communication Engineering or mechatronics or equivalent.

The Mission of this Role:
