Job Description
Curry house Launceston is seeking a committed person to join our team as an Indian/ Nepalese cook/chef, for an immediate start in this fast paced and enjoyable role. This fulltime position will be based in Launceston. Dine in or takeaways at Curry house is a unique experience and we need someone who can contribute to this role.
Key Responsibilities include:-
Preparation of all ingredients and menu items.
Maintain a clean kitchen and use appliances and equipment safely.
Ability to manage stocks and food wastage.
Menu planning.
Certificate III or higher in commercial cookery (essential).
Successful candidates must have 2+ years of experience in curry/tandoor.
A strong work ethic.
Ability to work autonomously and well within a team in a busy environment.
Well understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements.
knowledge of Nepalese cuisine is advantage.
Attractive remuneration salary package $73000 - $75000 depending upon experience. Will be negotiated with successful candidates based on skill and experience.
