Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experiences Netsuite Functional Consultant to join our team.
TopSource have implemented Netsuite OneWorld as the Group Finance System, managing the accounting for over 80 entities across more than 50 jurisdictions across the world. The system is multi-currency and enables live consolidation, intercompany eliminations and segmental reporting. TopSource have also implemented Netsuite Planning and Budgeting to streamline management information and reporting.
As an Netsuite functional consultant, you will play a critical role in maximising the functionality and efficiency of our current Netsuite Financial System. You will be required to understand our business processes inside out and be able to align the capabilities of Netsuite to these processes. You should have the confidence to plan for further improvements and the ability to manage the change project.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and goals
• Assess the current Netsuite solution and identify areas for improvement and have the capability to implement the necessary changes
• Design and implement custom solutions within the Netsuite architecture to meet business needs, including Netsuite UI Customization, Suite script, RestLets and Workflows and ability to develop custom code using SuiteScripts to meet user requirements.
• Customize Netsuite fields, page layouts, record types, reports and dashboards.
• Maintain users, roles, security, profiles, workflow rules.
• Lead and drive design review sessions with IT and business leads to obtain sign-off and deployment support.
• Provide on-going training and create a best-in-class Netsuite support function within the existing Group
Desired Characteristics
• Proven experience as a Netsuite Functional Consultant having worked within in-house in an corporate to manage a Netsuite solution
• Experience in implementing Netsuite One World across a number of jurisdictions and currencies
• In-depth knowledge of new subsidiary set-sups and best practice data migration process
• Deep understanding and management of NetSuite Administrative tasks, including (but not limited to) user management, system upgrades and maintenance, sandbox refresh etc
• Key understanding of the finance function and hands-on experience working closely with finance teams and accountants.
• Deep knowledge of the end-to-end Finance processes including Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report and Cash Management
• Proven experience in data management best practises and finance data models.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Confidence to challenge business requests and ability to articulate other solutions.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the ability to prioritise tasks, delegate and manage multiple project simultaneously.
Experience and Qualifications Required for the role
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accountancy or related field
• Good Knowledge of Accounting processes having at least 8 years experience working closely with finance departments
• At least 8 years’ experience working with finance systems and at least 6 years working with Netsuite OneWorld solution (multi-currency and multi-subsidiary)
• Experience in at least 4/5 migrations/implementations projects in Netsuite.
• Should Have performed data migration of month end numbers from legacy finance system to Netsuite
• In multicurrency, Experience to deal with the complexity of forex is required
• Should know O2C/P2P/ R2R process cycle.
• experience in functional activities and Fx Rates, Bank connections/reconciliations.
• Should have worked in-house with a finance team.
• Should have worked with intercompany transactions
• Understanding of the templates required for a financial system implementation and able to articulate to users what needs to be completed first and why
• Understand the importance of a cut over plan as with a finance system
• Understand the timelines for cutover planning based on month end close procedures - or be able to give advice based on experience over the best method to cut over to minimise business disruption
