Job Description
The Center for Internet Augmented Research and Assessment (CIARA) at Florida International University's Modesto Maidique Campus is recruiting undergraduate or graduate computer science and/or engineering students to participate in National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored projects. Students will gain exposure to novel networking and network automation development concepts and techniques, state-of-art technology, and experience supporting projects that benefit research institutions.
Candidates with an interest in getting experience in software development, DevOps, scalability, as well as computer networking/IT fields, are encouraged to apply. This role offers a unique opportunity for students to learn from experienced professionals while making valuable contributions to cutting-edge projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Current undergraduate students in a computer science, engineering, or networking related curriculum
FIU students majoring in CS/IT or students with a minor in CS/IT
Web programming: JavaScript and CSS
Software development: Python, C, C preferred
Knowledge of Linux OS and shell scripting
Good oral and written communication skills
Team player
Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within the first 30 days
