Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Network & Cabling Subcontractors to join our team for various telecommunications and networking projects. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including fiber optics, Ethernet cabling, and telecommunication systems. This role involves working on-site at different client locations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with a solid understanding of schematics, low voltage wiring, and equipment repair are highly preferred. This is a paid position suitable for skilled technicians looking to contribute to complex network installations and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cables
Perform fiber splicing and termination with precision using appropriate tools and techniques
Set up and configure network equipment such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Avaya telephony systems
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installations
Conduct testing of cabling and network systems using tools like ohmmeters and network analyzers
Perform low voltage wiring in compliance with NEC standards for telecommunications and data centers
Assist in the installation of CCTV systems, VoIP phones, LAN networks, and other telecommunication equipment
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project status and technical issues
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols during all phases of installation and maintenance
Skills
Proven experience in network installation, cabling (Cat5, Cat6), fiber splicing, and telecommunication systems
Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN/WAN configurations, and VoIP systems
Familiarity with Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, Avaya telephony systems, and NEC standards
Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize hand tools, power tools for cable routing and equipment setup
Experience with equipment repair and troubleshooting in data centers or field service environments
Knowledge of electrical systems related to low voltage wiring and power tools operation
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
Prior service technician experience or IT background is highly desirable
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various locations under different conditions

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
