About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Technology Engineering group, you will be responsible for providing technical thought leadership in the design of our next-generation networks.
Responsibilities:
Design and operate large-scale, production networks
Provide on-shift network escalation support for critical and complex network issues
Dive deep on high severity incidents and participate in root cause analysis
Automate select network administration tasks through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools
Work closely with our Network Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products
Partner with our broader Technical operations organization to reduce operational burden
Support organizational transformation from reactive to proactive with focus on predictiveness
Drive and support innovation for operational excellence
Identify and implement operational efficiency through tools and process optimization
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
3+ years of experience with routing and switching hardware from major vendors including Juniper and Cisco
3+ years of experience with major routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF
Experience in automating administration using Perl or other languages
Development and delivery of large scale designs in data center networks
Experience with IPv6 design and implementations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in wide area networking (including SDWAN), wireless networking, and industrial Ethernet
Expertise in information security for industrial control systems
