Job description
Network Architecture & Operations:
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure across multiple sites and data centers.
• Manage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
• Configure and manage VLANs, STP, HSRP, VRRP, and other Layer 2/3 technologies.
• Deploy and maintain Cisco Nexus switches, Juniper devices, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Ensure high availability and performance through QoS, redundancy, and traffic engineering.
• Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Performance:
• Proactively monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow, and SNMP.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues with packet analysis and root cause determination.
• Conduct regular capacity planning, traffic analysis, and performance tuning.
• Handle incident management, escalation resolution, and adherence to SLA requirements.
Security & Automation:
• Implement and enforce network security best practices (ACLs, firewalls, segmentation).
• Participate in regular change management and documentation of network configurations.
• Automate routine network tasks using scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
Documentation & Collaboration:
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of network designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, security, applications) to support project needs and resolve issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or network operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in routing and switching technologies and protocols.
• Proficient with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment.
• Experience with data center networking, including Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Solid knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, and network security concepts.
• Familiarity with QoS, packet analysis, and network troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with network monitoring systems (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).
• Strong scripting/automation experience (Python, Ansible, or equivalent).
• Excellent documentation, communication, and incident handling skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant certifications: CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or similar.
• Experience with hybrid cloud networking (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute).
• Exposure to SD-WAN and modern network virtualization technologies.
