We are seeking a skilled Network Specialist to join our team supporting a classified federal government customer. This role is perfect for an experienced senior networking professional with expertise in Fortinet solutions, SD-WAN, and Routing & Switching.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, investigating, and mitigating incidents and service requests, as well as deploying, configuring, and maintaining Fortinet products. While the primary focus is BAU operations, there will be opportunities to contribute to projects and other customer accounts within Kinetic IT.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, test, and maintain Fortinet solutions (Fortigate, FortiNAC, FortiMail, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiSandbox, etc.)
Knowledge of SDWAN, Routing and Switching
Monitor, investigate, and mitigate incidents and service requests in ServiceNow (SNOW)
Conduct log analysis, develop visualizations, and generate reports
Collaborate with Security Operations and IT engineers to implement security controls
Ensure optimal service levels and maintain compliance with risk mitigation processes
Create technical articles and bulletins to enhance the internal and external knowledge base
Provide technical leadership and support to IT Ops, Service Desk, and Field Services teams through mentoring and knowledge sharing
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes
Occasional work on projects and other customer accounts as required
Travel to sites if necessary for device configuration and troubleshooting
About You
We are looking for a strong technical expert with experience in Fortinet solutions, SD-WAN, Routing, and Switching. You should have excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and ability to travel to sites for device configuration and troubleshooting as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess ITIL v4 Certification and desirable to have Fortinet NSE Certifications or Cisco CCNA equivalent networking certifications.
